Introduction
When visiting my office you can expect a relaxed, comfortable, safe and confidential setting.
The office is located at 189 E. U.S. Hwy 40, just east of Troy/O’Fallon Road. Easy access is available on U.S. Hwy 40 with public transportation nearby. Parking and handicap accessible ground floor entry is located in the rear of the building allowing for your privacy and security.
My practice style is Client-Focused utilizing a Strengths-Based, Short-Term Solution-Focused approach. A Stages of Change Model along with Motivational Interviewing is utilized when addictive behaviors are identified. The individuals who utilize my services are Adolescents (13+) and Adults. I have extensive experience working with individuals who are struggling with daily stressors, feeling overwhelmed, anxiety, depression, or helplessness. Frequently, the stressors are the result of workplace, parenting, family, couple or other relationship conflicts.
Unfortunately, for many, they turn to alcohol or drugs to “manage” through the difficult times. By seeking professional help, support is provided to identify and learn new coping skills, develop insight into personal unhealthy behaviors that may contribute to current difficulties, and to increase awareness of other community resources that may be helpful in achieving a healthier and happier “journey” through life.
Office hours are flexible including evenings and Saturdays.
